Efficient Shredders for Composite and Agricultural Waste
The DRB series drum shredders operate on the principle of high-speed rotation of the working tool – a chain that is inexpensive and easily replaceable – within a closed working chamber made of thick-walled metal tubing. The tool strikes the material at high speed, mechanically breaking it down. This results in high efficiency and effective separation of individual materials or disruption of their structure.
Applications of Drum Shredders
Drum shredders are particularly suitable for processing composite materials, such as:
- electronic waste, electric motors, refrigerator recycling,
- luminium scrap, e.g., automotive radiators,
- automotive catalytic converters (for recovery of precious metals),
- heavy magnesium blocks, where aluminium pieces are separated.
They are also used for processing agricultural products in biogas plants, such as straw, hay, grass, or cereals. For materials that are highly corrosive to metal, the working chamber is specially reinforced.

DRB Drum Shredders
The DRB series shredders are designed for processing waste from heterogeneous raw materials, for example: insulation board production waste, electronic scrap, and electric motors, where metals are combined with other materials (plastics, paper, textiles, glass, ceramics).
Through a specific shredding process, individual materials are separated or the material’s structure is disrupted, preparing it for further processing.
