Shredders for Accurate and Efficient Waste Processing

Single-Shaft Shredders of the DRJ series are designed to reduce waste materials into a small and homogeneous output fraction ranging from 8 to 50 mm. These shredders are suitable for processing plastics, wood, paper, and irregularly shaped pieces. Their key advantage is the ability to handle heavy, bulky, and tough waste materials.

Another benefit is achieving the required output size in a single shredding stage. DRJ Single-Shaft Shredders operate on the principle of shearing the waste material between the blades mounted on the rotating rotor and a fixed comb-shaped stator blade. This ensures a gradual milling-off of layers of the processed material.

A replaceable screen is installed beneath the working chamber. The screen’s hole size defines the final output fraction and has a significant impact on the hourly throughput capacity.

DRJ Single-Shaft Shredders

We manufacture Single-Shaft Shredders in several standardised sizes. Each model differs based on the working chamber dimensions and the rotor construction. The simpler DRJ 24, DRJ 44, and DRJ 64 shredders have segments mounted directly onto the shaft. Waste is fed into the working chamber by gravity.

Efficient Shredders for High-Volume Waste

For bulkier waste materials, DRJ 400, 600, 800, and 1000 shredders are the ideal choice. The rotor of these shredders is equipped with blade plates attached to holders welded onto the segments. This design allows the cutting plates to be rotated or replaced easily and quickly. Bulky and irregular waste is fed onto the rotor using a hydraulic pusher.
